Here's the opening post of the thread John. I've bolded part of it for you and then italicised the words I think might have caused the confusion:

That sounds very much like don't call 000 and it could easily be misunderstood that that was the implication. Given the tone of the message in general I can see how Kieran misunderstood. In fact, because you said "instead of" it really does read as "don't call 000, get someone from the pines".

If that's not the intent of the post, it should be editing and clarified to prevent people becoming confused about what to do if someone needs help.

eg. You are better off getting your mates from the pines to help as well as calling 000.
