Hope this fella is OK...

From the Facebook page of 'CFA Technical Rescue' (search for that term):

"Earlier this afternoon (Wed 13 June), CFA HART from Ballarat City and Geelong City along with local emergency crews were responded to a High Angle Rescue at Werribee Gorge.
A rock climber sustained injuries after a fall. It is believed that during the climb and a fall, two sets of rock pro (cams) failed to hold the climber and he fell to the ground and was knocked unconscious.
Walking out was not an option due to the terrain and with the impending rain, HEMS winched the patient. CFA HART crews staged at the scene in case the helicopter was unable to effect the rescue due to the rain and wind.
CFA, Ambulance Victoria, Parks Victoria and Police attended."

There is some additional video footage of the HEMS lift of the patient on the FB page, but that is all.

Not sure how reliable the information is, but apparently it's an older climber, and that it wasn't too bad an accident. Don't quote me on that though.

Fingers crossed he's doing okay.

15 years of climbing and I’ve never seen a rescue report say either “rock pro” or specifically mention Cams. What’s the game?
