Hey everyone, i have been climbing off and on for about a year and im looking for someone to go climbing with at all the spots around Melbourne and for multi day trips to places out of town. I'm reasonably familiar with Mt Alexander and Camels hump and have climbed at Araps but keen to go climbing anywhere and looking to get out there and climb alot more over the warmer months.

i preferably climb trad and can lead up to about 17 trad but haven't climbed much in the past few months so I might need a warm up trip. I have a rack that consists of a set of nuts, a set of hexes, a set of C4s ranging from .3 to 4, 12 draws and all the other odds and ends. I have also doubled up on some gear like a harness and a belay device. I have a rope but its a bit old, Im happy to climb on it but would also be happy if someone else had a newer one.

Im 22 and i have a 4x4 so i can get into less accessible spots. I have a bit of free time during the week but would be more looking to climb on the weekends. Im also more than happy to have after work missions to camels hump during the week while the days are long.

Hey there.

I'm an American coming to Australia from Sat Nov 28 to Tues Dec 22, on tour and hoping to do some climbing! I'll probably be in Melbourne around Dec 9 - 16 or so (plans are pretty flexi for the moment) and would def. like to do some climbing.

I climb at around 5.10d in the states (a conversion chart tells me that's a 21 by Aus grading I think) so we're in the same ballpark it seems. I won't be traveling with gear unfortunately (got a month of backpacking after all) but if we can plan something out I won't mind picking up a harness and shoes or something. It'll be in the back half of my trip by then, after all - can always bring that stuff home with me.

Drop me a line, I'd love to get up the rock down there in Victoria!

Thanks,
Eric
