American lost down under!!!

Well, I just spent the last three weeks climbing across California, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada with a wonderful girl from Adelaide, Australia - and I'm hoping what goes around comes around... So, this January I'm planning on coming to Australia for a few months to see the country, meet friends, perhaps even work, and, of course, climb!

I'm looking for any words of wisdom for finding partners, things to do and see while I'm half-way around the world, a place to stay, and even people who might be interested in getting to know an American who loves to climb.

Right now I'm planning on wrapping up things here in Colorado, driving home to the east coast for the holidays, leaving my belongings there with my family, packing my backpack and taking a brief side trip down to Mexico before flying to Australia!!!

Mt Arapiles is an easy place to acquire climbing partners. Simply move into the Pines campground, and you're away!
