Hi Brendan,
Sandra here, I reside in sydney. I am keen to head out climbing, not been out for a while due to other committments (work, flu) so very amped to get outdoors.
Have all the gear, trad, sport and car.

Heading to St pete's indoor climbign gym Thurs night, 7pm onwards, keen tohead out this sunday, weather in the mountains will be cool but doable with beanie.

Contact me on email: avenchagirl@gmail.com.

I reckon the best place to start is Lindfield Rocks - a little high for bouldering, so best to take a toprope, some bolt plates and a stack of slings and sort the place out in safety.

Also make sure you check out the online guidebook. There's literally a lifetime's climbing and bouldering in Sydney, and though much of it isn't world class, the convenience factor more than makes up for it.

Guys,

Get along to the Sydney Rockies meeting next Wednesday and join up - you'll meet a load of guys who head up to the Bluey's every weekend and are more than happy to share a belay. I know I'm much happier to climb with someone I've met in person it always helps.

ps - newbie you may need to invest in a harness if you really want to get out climbing
