This is a call to arms for anyone who is keen to go up Mt Buller via West Ridge and take a look at climbing either lead or set up a top rope on the waterfall if conditions warrant or do some Mountaineering type routes.

Look to leave melb say 4:45am Sat and leave the climbing about 3:30 - 4:00pm
I have ice gear in terms of screws and stakes and have 1 spare AX but the catch is I will need a lift of course I will pay for fuel etc....

cheers

Ahh c'mon BS. Your just looking for someone to take the fall if you come across a pack of wild dogs...
~> A bit like surfing with a mate in sharky waters;... by yourself you have a 100% chance of being taken, but with a mate it reduces to 50%...
Heh, heh, heh.

you got me M9, the potential victim, sorry partner would be carrying the lunch in their pack as mine is conveniently full of rope et. al. ;-)

Watch this space Bob!
My partner and I were planning on walking/climbing the ridge to the summit and checking the area out this sat or sun (weather permitting as we've never been).

Hi a mate and I are going up this weekend leaving Friday afterwork from the city. We have not ever climbed at buller so if anyone is going up and wanted some company or meet up there, what ever works let me know. we will head back early Sunday I guess.

Other wise could someone help with some info

where do you park or leave from to walk in?
Where are the best places to climb?
What sort of climbing is there now?
Wheres the best coffee shop close by?

Hey man, that sounds awesome, where abouts was your mate going to stay? I was thinking of heading back on the saturday night. I've never climbed at buller either so won;t be a huge help in that department! Tell him to give me a buzz if he is keen m.0408676696
