New Years in the Grampians

Well after torrential rain that flooded most of the Grampians the new years party was postponed until the following saturday. Dave Cebar and myself heade for the Victorian Ranges instead. Highlights included sending Crank and Dangle (24) at Muline on first go, ticking my project 'Spinal Tap' at Marrinaus Trench - Red Rocks at grade 23. Also I played on my hard face project at Gondwannaland which felt doable (yay!). Dave and I did a bunch of routes at Gilhams Crags including a major effort to attempt a tick of a 24 which we both failed. Sandbag city! A big posse spent Saturday at Sentinel where all routes were climbed and the project Army of Ants was dogged with two rests by Rohan, Jaqui and myself. It will be 27 when done. On sunday we went to Bundaleer where Rohan ticked Angular Perpective (27) and I just did some easy multpitch stuff in bare feet with Jono. It was a great relaxing time in my favourite area.
