Special thanks! to the person who managed to snap one of the poles in my tent which was setup in the pines and opted to leave the scene of the crime without any offer to repair or replace the damaged item. :-(

Actualy thought the crowds at araps very well behaved - was very suprised how quiet it was every night. Was stayplton noisy? Dileberatly didn't go there because of the school camp. Seemed like masses of cars and tents at araps, never seen so many, but not the long toilet queues or waiting for a climbs that i recall in the past.

Clearly you weren't in the ladies loos. QUEUES! and things got even better when the toilets stopped flushing.
There were heaps of tents, but everyone was really quiet....have the uni clubs lost their mojo?

At least one of them is still going hard. The evidence was the large technicolour yawn deposited on the floor of the mens loos early Sunday morning. Of the hundreds of acres they had available to them, the middle of the middle cubical does not earn any extra points for location.
But kudos to them (or someone) for cleaning it up later.

Wasn't their mojo stolen from the Organ Pipes or something?

Most definately well behaved. Too well behaved in my opinion. I did find it quit humourous that the largest party on Sunday night was the VCC.

Yeah I heard about this one. If I had known I reckon it would have been enough incentive for me to fit another climb in on Monday afternoon.

Talking about Arachnus, I did that on Sunday for the first time and instead linking p2 and p3 as suggested in the guidebook, I led an awesome long pitch directly from the 2nd belay all the way to the top (instead of going out R to the arete). 40m or so of foot ledges and dinner plates = awesome fun!! Recommend it!

Name it? Why not stick 4 bolts in it and give it three stars as well?

I guess if you wanted to give it a separate name it would make sense to call it Arachnus Direttissima. Anyway you have to think a bit as the easiest path often requires you to traverse back and forth along the footledges to find the best holds. So you do a move, traverse a couple of metres to the L, do another move, traverse back to the R, do another move, etc.
I'm sure it's been done like that plenty of times before anyway, just thought it was worth mentioning as I really enjoyed it.
