Thought this might be good for a laugh... Just remember, it could always be worse :)

I decided to take leash's car as its cheaper on fuel and I was going to be by myself. About 10 mins after passing through Stawell the car just stopped and would not start again.Time: 10:15pm.

RACV man arrives and informs me that the car will not be starting again any time soon. Time 11pm

Get towed back to aarat and dropped off at the Caltex roadhouse. 11.30pm

Meanwhile in Melbourne, Alicia's dad had acquired a flat bed trailer (Hired from the servo) and is headed westwards to save the day.

Alicia's dad arrives at Caltex servo with trailer. Time: 2:30am

Car is loaded and trip back to melb going swell. Time:3am

Trailer gets flat tyre on the melb side of ballarat. Time 5:30am

Spare tyre is mounted... Its also has a puncture. Faaaarrrrrrk!

Trailer is dumped at servo. Time 6am

Phil gets home, time 7am

Phil wakes up, Time: 11am

Return to ballarat to get the trailer and car, drop off at mechanics. Time 3pm

Phil uses the sunny afternoon to cut the grass in the backyard. Time 5pm

Not exactly how I had hoped the weekend would pan out. :( So in the end, I took Alicia's car to save money and all I got was 10 + hours in the car, and a $2,700 repair job.

P.S The next friday on my way to the gramps sure that nothing could go wrong this time, i got 500m from home, hit a dog, turned around and went back home again.
