The rock quality is excellent at Scorpion Rocks - fine grained and featured. Well worth a look for bouldering...

I've done a few problems... good potential. Heaps more boulders than Cobaws and good quality fine grained granite.

Kent, Shintoe and myself spent the day at Mt Alexander on the weekend. Whilst waiting for Kent's laboured bolting efforts we amused ourselves by stealing one of Kent's coveted boulder projects - Live Forever V4 was the result. There seems to be heaps of potential for further problems if you are into that sort of thing. Photos are here!

Looks good Neil! Might have to get the beta for how to get to this section.
It looks to be above a path??

5-10 minute walk in. It is not a path belwo the problem - just a nice flat landing. There is a much harder V7?? version of this problem that goes left to right - very hard gasto match to join into the mantle. Very nice! The directions to this area can be found here

The actual problem is located directly above 'Sandbag Wall' or whatever Kent calls his wall with his three hard-as-nails bolted face routes.

I know that Charlie 'chuk' Creese hits mt alexander a fair bit, solo or with nick sutter. They have done heaps, and where ever those boys go you know its gonna be good. Next time you see charlie rubbernecking down lygon, buy him coffee for beta. (he found Cobaw, but still drives the extra for the quality of the strone).
