Yes and yes. But be warned, the fences are a bit dodgy so you will need to tie your dog up, but at least it makes it easy to get firewood without having to go too far.

Sorry, I broke the first rule of this forum by actually giving factual information. Next time I'l just use it as a platform to get on my high horse and launch into a tirade about the evils of bolts and chalk, the slow but steady moral decline of society, the neverending tussle between good and evil, insult people I've never met cos they think differently to me, make inferences about the hobbies and pastimes of small town folk, and answer everything except the question asked.

The kookaburras like squashed march flies. Which is good as we like squashing march flies. Hope there is no rule about killing native march flies.

They will eat out of your hand and probably even eat your hand.

Not since I took my dog.
Come to think of it, no more pesky possums to worry about either. Should see the drools of joy fling off his jowls as he chases them around the campsite. Never caught one yet, unlike those kookas. Serves em right for trying to steal his dog food.
Of course, climbers have a lot to answer for; feeding native wildlife has created all sorts of problems, not least of which is their resultant dependency from scraps as their ability to grub worms from the ground becomes an art lost thanks to a diet rich of easy carbohydrates. I blame the Natimukians. Too many interpretive dances warping their minds. All of a sudden the distinction between human and animal becomes lost in a blur of twirling batons and rythmic nodding. "Another cruskit for sir before you fly off?" Where will it end?
Obvious, really.
Bolts.
The devils hand at work, creating a path where before it was none. Desecrating the rock for the sake of vanity. A hideous ode to egos lurking within, made all the worse by the white cancer left behind. A reflection of society struggling to adapt to its own ideals, seeking meaning where there is none, and self imploding in a cloud of self righteous justification.
And all the while the kookas lurk, waiting for an easy meal, pandered to by the "oh what a cute bird" crowd that busy themsleves squashing march flies and other bugs to entice them in, little knowing the vicious cycle they help perpetuate.
Sometimes there are no victims, only the guilty.
Which are you?
