Hi all,

Thanks to all the unseasonal weather we've had lately, there's some road and track closures in the Grampians that will affect your xmas weekend trips. Refer here:

I've just spoken to Parks Vic about the following things:

Buandik Campground
Closed today due to fallen tree. Not due to open in time for xmas. Also the walkin to the Billimina shelter is closed due to a landslide. It is considered the Gallery walkin from this side of the hill is also closed since access is through the now closed campground, footbridge etc. The Goat track to Millenium Caves is also closed.

MULINE and Red Rock Road
It is possible to get here, but not via the following route: Halls Gap > Mount Victory Road > Glenelg River Road > Lodge Road > Red Rock Road. You CAN however get there via the following route: Hallps Gap > Mount Victory Road > Rose Creek Road (which is further along than Glenelg River Road) > Right turn into Lodge Road > Left turn into Red Rock Road. Alternatively, approach from the Henty Highway (eg via Billwing Rd to Red Rock Rd).

At this stage Stapylton Campground is open for business.

I did not ask about any other campgrounds. For specifics, ring Parks Vic Halls Gap on (03) 5361 4000. Please post any info you gather on this thread to save the Parks Vic staff answering the same question over and over again to multiple different callers.
