It broke, quickly, under normal usage. Mostly whilst packed away and in transit. Things that broke include: lighter, valve, and radiant heat burner.

The ignitions always brake. The first thing you should do when you get a jetboil is snap off that ceramic bit. It'll break within a week anyway and just gets in the way.

I've had no issue with the igniter snapping though it did take a few minutes to realise that the lid only fits two ways; the top has an oval shape in the middle and one of the points of the oval must go over the ceramic thing otherwise it'll snap. I'm not sure why they didn't just make that oval portion of the lid a circle as then the lid could go on in any orientation, particularly since the burner can be in any orientation...

My Jetboil stopped working all together on day 2. Sadly day 2 was the 2nd day of a five week road trip in a foreign country. That meant I had to buy a new stove from scratch without being able to do a warranty claim. I bought an MSR Simmerlite instead which is great.

I've had a jetboil for about 3 years and have carted it all over the place, from Kosciuszko to the tropical pacific. Still giving sterling service - only problem is it is impossible to get gas cylinders off the beaten track.

Only issue I've ever had with mine was some grit getting in the the burner where it connects to the cylinder, probably through my not being careful. Unscrewing the burner, removing, dusting off the filter and replacing it fixed it.
