so pockets are starting to feel a bit light (i hate going to uni so much) so i'm aiming to sell off some
stuff. what i ahve to get rid of:
both size link cams
full set c3's
#5 and 6 bd c4's
a clunker of an hb #5
all come with a wiregate beaner (mixed....some hotwires, some 1 ounce trango ones too), and all are
pretty good condition. link cams have never been fallen on, placed only a few times. c3's haven't been
fallen on either, a few have been placed, and 2 have been in the wall at my college for a while as they
were being used for a slackline. the 5 and 6 bd's have been placed like 4 or 5 times, never been fallen
on either. pretty much exclusively on watchtower crack.
oh and the 5 hb....well thats pretty old and has been used. its pretty ugly.
i'm living in melbourne so someone around here would be good to have as a buyer. just send me a pm
with offer (or if you want pictures or anything) and we should hopefully work something out.
happy climbing

Personally, I would avoid buying the ones that were used for slacklining purposes. The loads put on the anchors points of a slackline are much greater than what would be experienced in a fall. For example:
60kg person
10m slackline
sag of 0.9 meters when person is on
Force on each anchor = 3.4 kN PLUS pre-tensioning used to tighten line (conservatively, say 4:1 with two people pulling hard is about 1kN)
TOTAL: 4.4kN
-Not considering heavier or multiple people, or dynamic loads.
A tighter slackline under the same conditions that sags at only 0.5m
Force on each anchor = 6kN + pre-tensioning
Pre-tensioning would be greater to achieve less sag
Even if two cams were ideally equalized on one side the load are relatively high, sustained, and frequent.
If possible use a tree when rigging a slackline.

in terms of prices i'm not really sure what to be asking. 3 of them are pretty much mint condition, and
as i said before 2 were used in a slackline. not a very big one, and they were part of a 4 equalized cam
set up. i'm not worried about them at all. would like to get rid of the whole set, asking like 250 for all of
them with their own wiregates? i saw a #2 c3 going for 158 australian so i reckon thats decently fair?
cheers guys
