Lake Catani this weekend... free site

...free in both senses of the word.

Have a reservation up at Buffalo this weekend that I'm very unlikely to be able to use due to usual climbing partners being busy and my work currently being hell-on-a-stick.

Would hate to see the site go to waste, if anyone wants it PM me and I'll forward you the reservation details.

All I ask in return is that you let me pitch a itty-bitty tent and share it with you in the very unlikely event I make it up there. :-)

Cheers!

Edit: Site is for Fri and Sat nights

Itty bitty eh? I guess this rules out Chockstone luminaries like shortman, phillipivan, egosan, miguel75, simey, etc; i.e. anyone (else) over 6' in the old measure then!
;-)

Well, migual75 would probably prefer to hang his portaledge off Banana Blasé anyway...

The only thing I consistently hang at Buffalo is my head, in shame:(

Nah you should celebrate having sufficient cajones and IQ (as in not too much) to attempt something most would only joke about. That's something to be real proud of.

+1, though all this is probably a little cryptic to those without the back-story. Hopefully Migual and yourself will come through with some sort of TR.

pi is stacking them up.
It's gunna be a readathon* when they come through... Ozy one day ascent, Tassie Fed(?) Peak, and now the gardening on LG's lower pitches!

* I am being sponsored with museum-aliens to read them ;-)
Heh, heh, heh.

I already have 5000 words across two half finished TRs. Anyway Miguel75 has demonstrated his commitment to an honest and factual accounting of events is less diligent than mine (I think); which makes for far more entertaining reading.

And it's Frenchman's not Federation I was climbing at over Australia Day W/E.

I will start it though:

PI: Hey Mikey, do you want climb Ozi?
M75: I'd love too Buddy, but I've promised to pop that Cherry with another Mike.

---Many moons later---

PI: Hey Mikey, since you can't do Ozi how about Lord Gumtree.
M75: Sounds rad buddy! But um isn't that hard?
PI: yeah, like m7. Don't worry I'll lead all the hard stuff.
M75: coolies. Have you climbed much hard aid?
PI: None. How hard can it be.
M75: ...
PI: We'll do it in three days and have a sweet time.
M75: rad.

--- days later ---

PI: I think it would be easier to do it in two days. We could cut down on the excess jugging and hauling. A single sleeping bag unzipped will make a fine blanket for the two of us if the weather holds.
M75: ok, if you say so buddy.

--- a few hours after that ---

PI: you know, I hear the crux isn't all that. Anyway by the time we get to our planned high point for day 1 there is less than 100 meters of 'easy climbing' between us and the top. I think it would basically be a lot less effort just to do it in a single push, then we don't have to carry so much.

M75: Umm...
