I doubt it, for the simple reason he has not yet posted "PM Sent". Of course, it is always possible he is frantically negotiating with his better half as I type this...

That is really tough to do if you value having a sex life.
One of my greatest fears is that when I die that my wife sells my gear for what I told her that I paid for it !

While the gear whore within screams that I purchase this large piece of love; I will resist.
It's not that I don't want it, I just don't have the strength to carry any more bits of gear into WG...

The trick is to get a Mrs who likes the gear as much as you!
I met my better half when we were working in a gear store together, and she hasn't worked there for years, but is still as much of a gear whore as I am (in a nice way, obviously).
She's been busy buying ski gear, new trail running shoes, an awesome Cilogear alpine pack, crampons, and thats just in the last two months.
It's more likely I'll have to get her to stop spending money than the other way around!

Lol :-)
As long as I can reasonably describe the gear as safety equipment, my wife is generally okay with it. Snazzy accessories for my motorcycle, or audio equipment is where I struggle...
Did you know that Wife Acceptance Factor had made Wikipedia? (Of course you did...) They include in the definition: The Wife Acceptance Factor is inversely proportional to the possible amount of conflict resulting from the different points of view. The lower the WAF, the more convincing needs to be done, or the more conflict arises from the acquisition or project.
It varies from W to W, but in my household -
WAF 1.0 : expensive meals out, family holidays, anything for the kids
WAF 0.5 : anything I can characterise as likely to get me home in one piece (good motorcycle helmet, climbing protection) or being healthy (climbing gym membership & fees)
WAF 0.2 : Anything else related to bikes, climbing, or otherwise likely to be classified as fun to do without the family
WAF 0.1 : giant ugly stereo equipment, music downloads, a bigger shed, a bigger/faste/more exxy motorcycle
WAF 0.0 : transsexual hookers, ketamine, bondage equipment, Lolita cosplay outfits (his or hers)

How did this gem go unnoticed for so long? If you have any pics of you (or another Chockstonian) in a Lolita outfit; on ketamine; holding bondage gear; with a Transexual hooker, now would be a great time to post it...
I promise not to judge:)
