G'day

I have some gear for sale.

Asolo AFS 8000's. Size 10.5. (I'm actually a size 9, and was fitted at Bogong)

Excellent condition - almost new, hardly used

$380 neg.
NOW $340 neg.
NOW $300 neg.

SOLD - Integral Designs South Cole Bivy. Used once. As new. eVent material. Wired hoop near head. Excellent condition. SOLD

$250 neg.

NOW $150 NEGOTIABLE

Roman Sentry Bivy SOLD

Used once. As new.

Vented in hood. Does the trick if you're looking for a cheaper end bivy that still provides adequate protection, breaths well enough, and keeps you warm.

Packs down quite small.

$60 neg.

Outdoor Research Furio pants. Size M. Goretex. Integrated gaiter and snow cuffs. Full leg zips.

Worn twice. Bought online from O/S and turns out they are too big for me. Would suit 32-34 inch waist.

As new.

$120 neg. SOLD

Black Diamond Alpine Bod harness

Worn once. As new. Can be donned or removed without lifting a foot off the ground.

$50 neg.

NOW $25 neg. SOLD

Other things considered for sale are Vaude Lucky Ice Axe (straight shaft) - Adze type (65cm B rated) - very good condition - $60 neg. (Nothing wrong with this one, I just have enough axes to start a tribe).

AXE NOW $50 neg.

Happy to post/ship/COD/pigeon or whatever. Buyer pays shipping. Email jasonquick123@optusnet.com.au or phone 0417 911 547.

Cheers
Jase

I am interested in this.
Could you please tell me what size it is?

Thanks for the feedback.
I shall check my ancient BD bod harness size tonight (I have a suspicion that it is a large), and if it is a medium then I will get back to you, as it can do with replacing.

In case the tag is faded, I think you asked the same Q when I was getting rid of mine and pretty sure you weren't a medium then.

I also just pulled out a Tendon Master 8.5 Double rope (one only), 50m.

Never taken a fall. Used on one climbing trip to NZ.

50m rope for $50 flat. Buyer pays shipping or pick up in Victoria.

FYI M9 since the BD prices have come down, the RRP for a new alpine bod is $49.95. Any shop that stocks BD (Rock Hardware?) should be able to get one for you!

Well that's good to know! Thanks for bringing that to my attention. They certainly have dropped.

So let's fix that.

$25 flat - buyer pays shipping or pick up in Melb's.

Cheers

You are right dmnz.
I had forgotten about my enquiry back in Oct 2010, but your post caused me to go searching...

I just checked my old BD harness and it is a medium (though the tag is very faded), however my newer Metolius wall harness is a large (and I had issues getting the correct size for it at the time), so I continue to get fatter as I get older...
Since I am not about to give up my fondness for single malt whisky any time soon(!), and I blame that for the excess weight, then I doubt a medium BD harness will do the trick for me anymore.

~> So, sorry quicky, but I will pass on your opportunity to update my free-climbing harness.

Thanks for the update info dave.

South Col Bivy now $160 Negotiable.

(Clearly it's been a while since I looked at US online sales...they are selling new for around $200 (in TegralTex, not eVent...but just the same, they are now much cheaper than I thought).

So, $160 it is, and open to reasonable offers.

If it was the Penguin bivy, i'd take it.
But sadly not this one, esp as it's too short for me

Didn't know you were that tall Dom! ;-)

The bag fits a person up to 6'7". Although if you are nearing the 6'3" mark, I reckon as soon as you start to fill it out, the length will drop by perhaps an inch or two. Still, it's very roomy inside.

Anyways, no probs Dom. :-)

Your photo shows it's a Reg not a Large, whereas the one on the website could be a newer one size bag?

Anyway, not the bag I'm after.

Good luck selling it
