The fact they aren't suited to the environment there. Somewhere on here there's a thread about the native (pine?) trees that have been chosen to replace them and are being planted. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Noisy school kids - certainly made me lose the will to live.

I think if I had some I might be able to connect what you've said back to the rest of the thread... Something to do with needles?

yeah I think I might need some too... re-noisey school kids = death, use drugs = noisey school kids might be amusing (or send you insane).... = living tree, however this is impossibile as the trees cannot take such things :-(

edit: apologies for the ambiguity

Are you talking about Ents? Dude, that was a book/film. It was not real. Even if the acting was a bit wooden in places...

[edit: I'm really tired. The above lines seemed funny at the time. ]

I really should start using quotations... Voodoo said that noisey school kids caused me to loose the will to live, incinuating that that may have killed the pines.. I reckon, drugs could fix that problem and make it amusing... The trees however, cannot take drugs and hence, left to die!

Judging from what works on humans maybe a very low does of herbicide would give them a buzz?
