Hi all, saw this titbit of info relevant to Tiger Airways. Ignore if it doesn't interest you, but I figured it might be of use to those travelling with bouldering mats, since they seem to say the policy is relevant to ANY item of oversized sport equipment. (Not all airlines extend the same courtesy. For eg neither climbing or camping are offered as sports eligible for oversized baggage as per here; http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airlines/sporting-equipment/global/en)

This airline seems to service Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia and China.
