Hello dear Chockstoners.
I am sure many of us have heard the long standing rumour that some famous climber is planning on opening a cafe in Natimuk.
Why Derek my M10 love tells me that some good folk have even already donated climbing magazines to its reading material, for the enjoyment of those who partake in such.
Someone even boldly suggested that with the proceeds of his latest publication that he intends to buy a liquor licence to go with it, but Derek suggested to me that it will take more than an auction of a few signed copies to raise the amount of filthy lucre required for that, and also says someone called Mrs Dragon could apparently object to having competition.
I think it would be a good opportunity for travelling Arapilian stalwarts to enhance their cultural exchanges, and who knows, it might even provide local work opportunities.
The possibilities are endless, but could be a bit confusing till they actually comes to pass.
What do others think?

It has to sell cheap booze. Who is going to go into Nati from the Mount for a coffee. As for Mrs Dragon I'm sure a guide book author is capable of writing an enviromental impact statement proving the Wimmerra would be better off without her.

No need, the Capt_Mulch Cafe (loosely based on the Rainbow Cafe, Nimbin), will be opening next year. Soy latte frappa skinny chino mochas with chilli will be the signature coffee!!

Mulch I don't do soy, latte, frappa, chino or mocha. I don't even know what those things are but they sound bad.

Hard to fathom though it may be, but there are other people (apart from filthy lousy stinking goats) who would like a cafe as well, synergies, opportunities and all that

Slabovic I'm more than happy to come into Natimuk and pay my way rather than rape and pilliage and support a local social centre which due to the Dragon the pub seems not to do. Natimuk currently lacks such a place. I promise to keep the goat outside. Just, to get my coin it would need to sell booze.

What on the (proposed) menu - caterer's blend and muesli bars?
While I'd love to see it happen, Ian Hewitson, who I'm told makes a mean cuppa, will do a one day ascent of Punks in the Gym before golden boy pulls up the shutters on The Nati Caffe.

What month might that be Mr Capt_mulch?
A third of the year has slipped by and you might have to review your profit forecast now that you have let the busy Arapiles eekster period go.

I just hope the dragon doesn't buy the milk bar as well or else were all in a shit load of trouble. we'd all get yelled at for bringing a few mates in to get a pie and big M without ringing in first and whatever you do dont complain about a dodgy sausage roll, you'll get barred.
