Bouldering Mat Stolen 2-Jul-2008 At 7:58:56 PM cantcrimp
Message
Recently in Adelaide a bunch of people purchased three high jump mats and carried them up to the hole (possibly the best crag in the world) at Norton Summit. This was no small effort and benefited all that climbed in there. People put in their hard earned cash and time to get these mats for everyone to use and now, well someone has nicked one of them. It looks like they helped themselves to the mat late last week. This could not be the effort of one person as it would have needed at least two people to carry the mat down to the car park as they are freakin huge. This is just one of the latest developments in Adelaide climbing that is really effecting the friendly spirit of Adelaide climbing - see the post on stench .

If anyone knows anything at all about the disappearance then please let me know. If you have accidently taken the mat and would like to anonymously return it then feel free to dump it at the base of the track and some hardworking people will endeavour to get it back up to the hole. If you took the mat to be repaired and are planning on returning it then I do apologize for accusing you of theft and cannot wait for its return and the repair of the other two mats. Please forward this message to anyone and everyone who climbs at the summit.

I have been passed some information about who has taken the mat (hopefully the other two mats are still there). I am waiting for a bit more info before I speak with the accused and see what the score is.

Adelaide is a small place and someone else must know something about the disappearance. If you do know anything send me a PM and I will deal with it discreetly as possible. If this is cleared up quickly I will not publicly name the folk involved otherwise I will name them and they can defend themselves.

Cheers

Craig
