Hi all ... just a quick report on the comp.
I was in Geelong for the w/end and went in the comp. The problems and atmosphere were really good. It's always great to be faced with a whole boulder cave full of new problems! (Second only to climbing anywhere outdoors!) And for me it was a whole new cave as well!
Richard, and Goshen and someone else I can't remember, set an excellent range of problems. It was my first visit to the gym and I'll certainly return. The bouldering cave is excellent. Lots of steep features to climb! There was a well thought out range of problems too - from really easy to really silly!
I stayed with friends in Geelong, but it would be well worth the drive for the comp alone next time. Congrats to James for his excellent cranking and showing the rest of us how ..... but most of all thankyou to Richard and the setters for the competition. After the comp at my friends place, I enjoyed the beers, resting my arms, in front of the fire! Till next time ......
