Come relive the glorious past!
In aid of the doco I'm doing on Australian climbing from 1975 to 1985 I'm organising two Henry Barber
reenactment days over Easter, open to all ages, sexes, religion, species…
1. Saturday 22 March - Massed Henry Barber reenactment on the Organ Pipes. Get dressed up in your
best flat cap, handlebar moustaches, torn t-shirt and white flares and strut your way up the Organ Pipes in
the company of (hopefully) dozens of other Barber lookalikes. Dig out that old external frame backpack and
embroidered bandolier for extra cred. Assembly at 11 am, climbing at 11:30 am.
2. Sunday 23 March - The Kama Sutra Challenge. Kama Sutra is a challenge at the best of times, how
about taking it on in the original style? No Friends, RP's, sticky rubber or curved nuts. Just hexes and
straight sided wires, and flares covering your boots. I'll try and provide as much of a period rack and
footwear as possible, but if you have old gear to bring along, especially old boots and straight sided wires
that would be great. Starting from 11am
Repeats/attempts with modern gear and clothing also welcome!
If it's 40 degrees and raining I'll reschedule it to the Goatfest weekend (26-27 April).
Start growing those mo's…
