Why are the gyms focussing on toprope? |

There have been many accidents and injuries caused by indoor leading. The atmosphere is distracting and the ground is close.
Bolts every 1.2m doesn't really prepare you much for outdoor leading. It may look more impressive than top roping but that's about the only thing going for it. Just top rope and concentrate on the climbing.
