Yes, it's repulsive and unpleasant and it contributes to an overall decline in environmental quality. I certainly wish they would stow their butts in their back pockets, but the holier than thou attitude of earlier posters makes me want to roll a durrie and light up. Everytime I visit a cliff or a bush campsite, I see chalk and chains and erosion and bandaids and shit paper and twine and bent tent pegs etc etc . Climbers cannot seek to position themselves as paragons of environmental practise until they move towards getting their own house in order first.
