The truth is that the Brit grading system was devised by a bunch of drunken climbers in a pub somewhere in the Peak District many years ago. This explains why it is best discussed while consuming at least a reasonable amount of alcohol. Try looking at this thread while totally pissed, you'll soon get the hang of it.
