Hi All,

A bunch of us are spending 2 weeks in the Gramp's in Sept/Oct and need some advice/suggestions on
accommodation. Need a cheap place that will hold 6-8ppl, and is central to the Gallery, Millenium and Mt
Stap area. Any info would be great.

cheers

There is plenty of holiday accommodation in Halls Gap - but that is 40min+ to Gallery and 30min+ to Stapylton. There is no holiday homes to rent in the Vic Ranges as far as I am aware. Best bet is Mt Zero Log Cabins right near Stapylton (5mins).

Our cross-border raid was not un-noticed! I am back in good old Melbourne now - just doing up the photos for the online gallery. Sadly for all you climbers they mostly consist of spa baths, bubble bath, girls and beer.

Also Happy Wanderer at Wartook has ensuite cabin accomodation, small shop (and bottle shop). Also has a pool but it's a bit cold for that. Costs about $60 a double and it looks like they have cabins for up to 6 people www.happywanderer.info
The Grelco Run at Wartook offers similar, slightly more expensive accomodation 5383 9221 - it's non-smoking

If you can afford it, Glenisla Homestead has high class accomodation ten minutes drive from the Gallery

Who's saying such things aren't of interest to climbers?
