I heard a rumour that Stefan Glowacz is coming to Melbourne/Oz to do a talk/slideshow/plug red chili etc.
Does anyone know if this is true, and if so when will he be here?

particularly impressive was his video man who jumared the entire 1000m new route they did in patagonia in a single day push and still managed to get great footage of both stefan leading hard alpine rock, and his partner drytooling grade 24 cracks ! ! !

I spent Friday morning taking pics of Stefan on the Celestial Wall on Mt. Tibrogargan in the Glasshouse Mountains. What a nice guy. He truely made the routes he was on look far too easy. The comment was made after the crux of Aphelion 90metre 224 pitch sport climb "Would you like to to repeat the moves". He then proceeded to float up Pigs In Space 30metre 26. "Yah Zis izz very beautiful rock, Yah, lovely moves. He was very complimentary about the Halfway House Terrace sport climbs.
Cam tells me that after I left "After you left he went on to onsite DV8, Black Op's, Storm Watch, Voluptuous and Dagda".
He moved on to Frog Buttress on Saturday and did Infinity 19, Erg direct 22 and then had a trot on Pokamoko And The Valley Girls 30/31. He couldn`t get the crux but floated the rest of the climb which is a stunning effort. According to Cam Fairbairn who partnered him for the two days of climbing in Queensland.
This almost sounds like a Hot Henry Barber assault on the various crags around the country.

Wow - who would have thought that Stefan would be doing those G-House Mtn routes! I look forward to the pics Phil. I wonder what he has planned for Victoria? I hear Melton Creek is a pretty happening place these days. A visit by Stefan might just put us on the map.

The present (& expected ongoing) rain will add several grades to whatever he does!
Thanks for the update Phil.

Grant just told me that Stefan said that the crux of Pokamoko was very hard. Not surprising at the grade. Everyone agrees that Stefan is a really nice bloke so if you get the chance to meet him or climb with him you`ll be in for a treat. Very obliging I must say. I hear tell that the slide show is a must see.
Oh yes, I suggested that he go and see the crocodiles at Steve Irwins Australia Zoo while he was in the area, this is what he said "Climbing first crocodiles after" ;)).
Duncan asked him how old he was, 40 was the reply so Duncan Steel told him that he should get his hair cut to hide his grey hair because that`s why Duncan has short hair (Duncan being a few years older than 40).
