Finger massage

Hey has anyone got close and personal experience using one of those finger massage things? You know the ones - looks like you roll them over your knuckles and are all twisty looking.

I’ve got a few old man knuckles that need tlc but equally don’t wanna waste time/money on a gimmick. I’m sure I will find wisdom in the 3.5 people that still use the site.

I have not used the finger massage thing that is made of steel that you see for sale on the counters in climbing gyms. There was a 'flossing' fad, that I have not heard much of lately, that was supposed to improve blood flow to the fingers, although from my anecdotal evidence I can't say whether trying it hindered or helped the recovery of my finger injury at the time. I think its mostly a gimmick - I don't think giving your finger a massage with this steel finger massage thing would be more effective for increasing blood flow than just getting some hand cream and lubing up an o-ring with the thumb and fore-finger of the opposite hand and giving it a bit of the old in-out with the affected finger (I've heard this method works better if you film it and put it on your instagram story feed).

For rehabbing tendon and pulley fingers, I'm a huge fan of just hangboarding with weight removed on a pulley system, and then very slowly reintroducing that weight over time. Less sure if that works for Tenosynovitis, which from your brief description sounds like you may have.

Nah , Im prolly wrong , as I remember reading some time back about bro mikl wanting to sort his hand probs. Then again , both he and bro Stuey prolly getting old man issues that go with the territory I guess.

There you go Stuey , thats the 3.5 quota used up. You are surely wiser now. By the way , for what it's worth , I reckon it's a gimmick , but go ahead and torture yourself if you think it'll help.
PS for a small stipend we can prolly get bro simey to torture you too , but there's a chance he might offer to do it for free just for the laughs.
