A month in the Alps

So the girlfriend and I are heading to the Alps for a month or so sometime from May to July next year. Looking for suggested 'base camp' locations as its painful moving location every second day.
Looking for places with a mix of crag climbing, alpine climbing, via ferrata, mountain biking and hut to hut walks so there are plenty of 'rest day' activities. German speaking an advantage as my german is better than my french or Italian. I've been to the dolomites and Chamonix before, both of which are options. Switzerland is amazing but expensive. Anyone got any suggestions? Perhaps somewhere in Austria?
Looking to get an apartment or chalet for the time there rather than camping or doing the van thing. Cragging and alpine routes, but not really mountaineering.

Austria is a good option. Climbed in the south-east once, south of Vienna "Grazer Bergland". Long bolted limestone routes, not too much altitude.

Austria's pretty cool, plus you're still close to the Dolomites - and Slovenia/Croatia to the South if you want something more sport but close to the beach.
We stayed near Imst, some pretty fun stuff there.
That said, The Dolomites is an awesome option - with so many different valleys, cimes and towers and Arco at the base - you could spend your whole month there.

A mate living in munich keeps going back to camp and climb at Arco, looks amazing but kinda popular...

I've also had a day up high above Imst, some lovely long routes nearby the muttekopf hutte which is an awesome spot to stay, book in advance for weekends.

How about Ailefroid in the Dauphiné Alps (France)? I've climbed in areas around there but not in Ailfroide itself so can't comment personally, but know folks who rave about it.
